Buying an RV? We've got answers.

Everything you need to know about finding, inspecting, and purchasing your perfect van on Camplify Xchange.

Yes — completely free. There are no fees, membership costs, or lead charges for buyers. You can browse, save searches, and send enquiries to sellers and dealers at no cost.

Try Before You Buy lets you rent a caravan or motorhome on Camplify before committing to a purchase. Many listings on Xchange are linked to live Camplify rental listings — you can book a trip in the exact van, see how it suits you, and in some cases have your rental cost credited toward the purchase price if you decide to buy. Look for the "Try Before You Buy" badge on eligible listings.

Camplify Xchange includes several trust signals to help you buy with confidence. Listings from Camplify owners show verified rental history — real ratings and reviews from guests who've used the van. Dealer listings come from verified, approved dealerships. You can also see how long a seller has been on the platform and read their response history. If something feels off, trust your gut and ask questions before proceeding.

If a van has been rented through Camplify, you'll see its star rating, number of reviews, and estimated annual earnings on the listing page. This is real data — it tells you the van has been independently reviewed by paying guests, has been maintained to Camplify's standards, and is likely in good condition. It's one of the strongest quality signals available on any RV marketplace.

Click "Enquire now" on any listing. You'll be asked for your name, phone number, and a message for the seller. Email is optional — we use phone as the primary contact method to keep things simple and reduce spam. Your enquiry goes directly to the seller or dealer, and you'll receive replies via the Xchange message centre.

Yes — most private sellers and many dealers are open to negotiation, especially if "Price negotiable (ONO)" is shown on the listing. Use the message centre to make an offer. Our AI assistant Rova can help you frame your offer professionally if you'd like a hand.

Before committing, we recommend: (1) inspecting the van in person, ideally with someone experienced in caravans, (2) checking for water damage around seams, roof hatches, and windows, (3) verifying the VIN and confirming the seller is the registered owner, (4) reviewing the service history, (5) checking weights — ensure your tow vehicle can legally tow the caravan's ATM, (6) confirming registration status in the relevant state. For vans with Camplify rental history, you can also review guest feedback for any recurring maintenance notes.

This badge appears on listings where our system has compared the asking price to similar listings currently on the platform. "Below market" means the asking price is lower than comparable vans — useful for spotting good value. "Above market" means the price is higher than average for similar stock. It's a guide only — condition, features, and history all affect fair value.

Your vehicle's tow capacity is listed in its handbook and on the manufacturer's website. Compare this to the van's ATM (Aggregate Trailer Mass) — your tow vehicle must be rated to tow at least the ATM of the van when fully loaded. Always check ball weight too. Listing pages on Xchange show tare weight, ATM, and ball weight where available. If you're unsure, a caravan dealer or towing specialist can advise.

Camplify Xchange is a marketplace — we connect buyers and sellers but are not party to the transaction. We strongly recommend inspecting any vehicle before purchase and never transferring money without seeing the van in person. If you're buying from a dealer, standard Australian Consumer Law protections apply. For private sales, the sale is typically "as is." Consider using a professional RV inspection service for added peace of mind.

Use the state filter on the search page to find listings in your state. You can also search by suburb or postcode. Our homepage search assistant Rova can help — just type something like "family caravan under $70k in NSW" and it will filter results for you.
