Listing Guidelines & Seller Code of Conduct
Camplify Xchange Marketplace Standards
Last Updated: 31 March 2026
To keep Camplify Xchange a high-quality, trusted marketplace for the Australian RV community, all sellers must adhere to these guidelines. Failure to comply may result in your listing being removed or your account being suspended.
1. Accuracy & Transparency (Australian Consumer Law)
- Condition: Disclose all known issues including general wear and tear, accident history, water damage, and repairable write-off status. Failure to disclose material defects may constitute misleading or deceptive conduct under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Odometer: Never misrepresent the odometer reading. Odometer tampering is a criminal offence in all Australian states and territories.
- Specifications: Make, Model, Year, Tare Weight, and ATM (Aggregate Trailer Mass) must be accurate and match the vehicle’s compliance plate or registration documents.
2. Photos & Media
- Use original photos of the actual vehicle being sold. Stock images or photos of a different vehicle are not permitted.
- At least one exterior photo and one interior photo are required for every listing.
- Photos must not contain watermarks or logos from competing classified platforms.
3. Legal Ownership & Paperwork
- You must have the legal right to sell the vehicle. If selling on behalf of someone else, you must have written authorisation from the registered owner.
- Disclose any finance owing on the vehicle. We strongly recommend providing a current PPSR Certificate to give buyers confidence that the title is clear.
- Provide the VIN or chassis number on request to serious buyers for their own PPSR verification.
4. Prohibited Practices
- Dealer identification: Licensed dealers must identify themselves as such and must not create listings that appear to be from a private seller.
- Keyword stuffing: Do not include irrelevant keywords, brand names, or search terms in your listing title or description to manipulate search results.
- Duplicate listings: Each vehicle may only have one active listing at a time. Duplicate listings will be removed.
5. Communication & Safety
- Respond to genuine buyer enquiries within 48 hours. Consistently failing to respond may result in your listing being deprioritised or removed.
- Harassment, threats, or abusive behaviour toward buyers, other sellers, or Camplify Xchange staff will result in an immediate and permanent ban.
- Safety tips for in-person meetings:
- Meet in a public, well-lit location.
- Have someone else present during the inspection or handover.
- Confirm that funds have fully cleared before handing over keys and paperwork.
6. The Camplify Ecosystem
Sellers may be contacted about rental income opportunities through Camplify partner platforms. If your RV is eligible, listing it for hire on Camplify can generate income while you’re not using it — many owners earn up to $30,000 per year. This is optional and has no impact on your Camplify Xchange listing.
